Common prices, uncommon quality found at Society6 (Review)
Society6 offers contemporary art in a variety of affordable, usable formats.
While the unmade beds, piles of clothes, and empty dishes found in most teenager’s rooms can make quite a statement, there are certainly better options for your household decor.
Great art can be found anywhere from thrift shops to professional galleries, but it is often priced beyond what high school students want to pay. Enter the website Society6, an online art distributor filled with thousands of affordable prints created by artists around the world.
The site features thousands of designs in a wide range of styles, including everything from quotes to abstract art. Prints are available framed or unframed, and they can be printed on stretched canvas for those desiring a high-end finish. Prices are set by the individual artists, but expect to pay around $30 for a 17″ x 19″ unframed print.
Aside from traditional artwork, most of the designs on Society6 are also made into phone cases, shirts, bags, and even pillows.
The company was started by three designers who wanted to give emerging artists a place to get their talent recognized. The trio had become upset with the struggles that creative people go through to make ends meet, so they set out to create an online community to help their fellow designers.
The artists whose work is sold on the site receive a share of the profits, and they retain full control of their own copyrights, so you can feel good about sprucing up your messy abode.

I think this is a very interesting website. I also believe that it is a good way to help out struggling artists. Personally, I would buy from this website or get ideas from it because I like art. In my free time, I often paint pictures to hang on my own wall. I do have to agree that most teenagers rooms are messy, including mine.
