Online shopping: the good, the bad, the ugly (Review)
Most teenagers are up to date in the world of fashion and technology. As a result, online shopping is very common.
Online shopping can be a stressful task. Shoppers can only see what the website is showing and telling them about the product. Those who shop online are able to take a lot of time to become familiar with the products in mind.
When online shopping, it can be annoying if the website has bland and poor quality graphics. It gives off the impression that their products may not be of great quality since the pictures aren’t either. Shopping on a site with great graphics and view-friendly features can make an online shopping experience enjoyable.
To name a few, some of the best websites to shop at online are American Eagle, Urban Outfitters, and Victoria’s Secret. These websites all have great features. American Eagle, for example, has great home page graphics that are displayed in a slideshow. They also sport high quality graphic pictures and videos of their products that can allow the consumer to really know what they may be purchasing. Victoria’s Secret’s website is also a great place to spend some time.
Websites for stores such as Kohl’s and Zumiez, however, are not so great. The Kohl’s website has a very bland color scheme and bad, almost pixilated, pictures of their products for viewing. It doesn’t seem to stand a chance against websites such as Victoria’s Secret and Urban Outfitters.
Other websites that are also guilty of sporting these design flaws are JC Penney’s, Macy’s, Target and Walmart. The smartest idea would be to simply visit these stores in person.

I feel like buying from more of a luxury store can ensure a guarantee that the purchaser will be satisfied rather the buying something from like EBay. Its just common sense to be careful whilst buying things online, especially when the website even looks cheap itself.

I hadn’t really thought about the customer’s shopping experience on an online store before, just what was available to buy. I bet that the companies that have retail sites think about it a lot, though, and it makes me wonder how a company with an unappealing site, like Kohl’s, sale numbers would change with an improved site.
