Sheppard’s ‘Bombs Away’ will leave your ears happy (Review)

Sheppard have become a recent hit with their new single, “Geronimo”.

Named after three siblings that make up half the band, Sheppard is a Australian indie pop that has gained success in their Australian homeland and currently in North America and the UK.

The indie pop band released their debut album Bombs Away last year in July, but it wasn’t until early of this year when their first single “Geronimo” reached American radio stations. Bombs Away went #31 on the Billboard 200 and has officially gone gold in Australia.

The album leads off with “Geronimo” which you can’t help but to sing along within the first listen. The song continues on with the hook “Bombs away” that becomes slightly annoying. “Grade A Playa” is a synthpop power ballad about an obvious player boyfriend that is predominately sung by Amy Sheppard.

The sextet’s fourth single “Let Me Down Easy” is a charm to your ears that will make you feel happy as the song reminiscences to the lovable 50’s pop.

Sheppard’s brilliant song writing, their listenable tracks, and the success of “Geronimo” are evidence that suggest that Sheppard might be the next big thing from Australia.
