“Glazed” and Amazed: new doughnut shop a delicious addition to downtown Carlisle (Review)
Downtown Carlisle received a delicious addition to its small businesses featured throughout its streets. With new shops coming every year, we have received everything from thrift stores and soap shops to new ice cream spots. However, the niche for a doughnut shop has been vacant since I can remember.
Crazy Glazed has filled this need perfectly. The way I have described to people who haven’t gotten the chance to try it is they are like our very own hometown Duck Donuts, small cakey warm donuts that are offered in 28 different flavors with some changing weekly.
Personally, I loved my first experience at Crazy Glazed. The variety of flavors and quick, friendly service is a great way to start your day. When we reached out to them as a staff to try their doughnuts, they were great about helping us order ahead and have them ready for our early morning pick-up.
My personal favorite is the S’mores doughnut as it tastes just like a s’more fresh off the fire, with a chocolate glaze, graham cracker crumbs, and a marshmallow drizzle. Another great doughnut they offer is their Apple Pie doughnut, which has delicious cinnamon sugar over the doughnut and warm apple pie filling on top.
While the menu is full of flavorful options, they also offer special flavors each weekend, such as Salted Caramel Pretzel and Key Lime Pie (available the weekend of May 13-15).
Pricing-wise, it pays to get more; each doughnut is $2, but you can get a half-dozen for $10 and a dozen for $19.
In addition to doughnuts, they also offer drinks, such as a Lotus Energy spritzer in flavors like Sunkissed and Passion Punch, freshly squeezed lemonade and orangeade, cold brew coffees, and more.
The service is also quick as well. I was able to be in and out of the store in about 15 minutes and not break the bank for a dozen doughnuts for my family. You can also take advantage of in-store seating.
Crazy Glazed is a great option whether you’re in a rush, or trying to enjoy your time in downtown Carlisle and should definitely be on your list on places to check out. They are open Friday- Sunday 7 AM- 1 PM and located at 204 North Hanover Street.

I have yet to try Crazy Glazed! It seems like a great small business to support and a way better option than Dunkin’ since they have more unique flavors.

Crazy Glazed has such fun and inventive flavors! My favorite is the Samoas flavored donut, which tastes just like the coconut chocolate girl scout cookie.
