The Idea

Last year for March Madness, the CHS Periscope staff pitted local Carlisle restaurants against one another in a viewership based March Madness Bracket. This year, the staff decided to stray from local roots and covered more of a wider-scale topic– musical artists. As a staff, we collected lists of everyone’s favorite bands and singers, ultimately narrowing it down to 50 groups or individuals based on genres. Each division of the bracket is dedicated to a specific genre, one to popstars, one for R&B/Hip-Hop/Rap, one for rock, and one for miscellaneous/chaos. Below is a list of each artist or band in its respective division of the bracket, with a little getting to know the artist information alongside a small playlist to sample their stylings.
