December Student of the Month: Robyn Lowe
Robyn Lowe
Senior, Artist
Recently won Best of Show at the Yellow Breeches Craft Show
Q1: Where did your inspiration come from for your drawing Lana?
A1: I was just inspired from one of my favorite singers, Lana Del Rey. She is always a great subject for art which is why she is featured in so many of my pieces.
Q2: How did you discover your love for drawing? How long have you been drawing?
A2: I’ve known I love drawing and art in general since even first grade. I always drew all over my school notes. I knew I loved it when I realized I could express myself by means other than words.
Q3: What other awards have you won for drawing?
A3: I’ve won the Yellow Breeches craft show two times prior than my win for Lana this year. I also got runner up in a Congressional competition with Lana as the submission and then another for a pin design I did for National History Day in Pennsylvania.
Q4: Other than drawing, what other hobbies do you have?
A4: Anything creative is really my hobby. I love all mediums including photography. Aside from visual art, though, I really love music which is just another form of art.
