Anna Walters

Anna Walters, junior

Carnegie Hall program acceptance, performed at Carnegie Hall on Feb 22.

Q1: Please describe your experience at Carnegie Hall and why you were able to perform there.

A1:  My experience working with the honors performance series choir and performing at Carnegie Hall was simply incredible and once in a lifetime.  My voice teacher, Joan Boytim, nominated me for the program. I sent my audition recording in the summer and received an acceptance email to the program in October along with the music we needed to memorize.

Q2:  Would you say that singing is your biggest passion?  If so, why?

A2:  I would whole-heartedly say that music in general is my passion, and I’ve been granted experiences in the past few years that have made me a better vocalist as well as person in general.

Q3:  What are some other hobbies you have?

A3:  Along with [singing], I enjoy learning to play guitar and piano, watching endless reruns of the High School Musical moves, and redecoration my room with Pinterest crafts and finds.

Q4:  Are you looking to become involved with a music profession later on in life?

A4:  Post-high school, I hope to earn my pastoral degree at Liberty University in worship arts and continue my music career in the missions field.
