Run into color, run for a cause
The Color Splash is a 5K walk/run for people in Carlisle to donate money to the Four Diamonds Fund. The Color Splash is on April 11 at the cross country course at Carlisle High School. It starts at 10:00, sign-in at 8:30 A.M.
Carlisle High School is donating all of the money to the Four Diamonds Fund, the same as Mini-Thon. There is a $25 registration fee to be able to participate in the Color Splash.

Physical education teacher Devon Collier is in charge of the Color Splash and she has two student assistants, Kara Whitmyer and Kaitlyn Adams.
Adams said, “It should be a really fun day, not only are we raising money for a great cause, but because we are bringing the community together.”
There are several groups of people coming to join in the fun of the Color Splash. Some of them are the lacrosse teams, a club called Go Girls Go, and students all around Carlisle with their families.
Collier said, “What a great way to raise money for a great cause and to promote exercise!”
Not that it has been easy.
Whitmyer said, “We have been working really hard; it has been a long process, but the end result should be great and colorful.”
While the people are participating in the Color Splash, others will be throwing powder on all of the people.
Also, if a person registers by Mar 20, they will receive a free t-shirt. All registration fees should be handed into the gym teachers.
Want to help the Herd? Please consider supporting the Periscope program. Your donation will support the student journalists of CHS and allow us to purchase equipment, send students to workshops/camps, and cover our annual website hosting costs.
This is Morgan Dellinger’s first year in Periscope. She has taken on the role of school beat managers. She is a senior and is really enjoying her last...

I think that the color splash is a really good way to raise money for the four diamonds fund and bring the community together at the same time.

I think it’s awesome that Mrs. Collier decided to do this. She is really active in trying to get people to become a part of the run during gym class, which will help raise a lot of money for the Four Diamonds Fund. It’s a really fun way to raise money!

I think this is a great way to raise money and come together not only as a school but as a community. Sadly i will not be able to participate because i have a track meet this day but i think this should be a reoccurring event.

I think the Color Splash is an awesome idea and I am glad that Mrs. Collier decided to put it all together. I think it will be a great event for the whole community to come out and participate. I know Mrs. Collier, Kara, and Kaitlyn have been working very hard on this and I am very excited for it!
