Carlisle Area School District performed really well at the state competition of the Pennsylvania Junior Academy of Sciences.

On May 18, 18 of our students scientists competed at the PJAS state competition at Penn State University.  Out of 5,000 students from across the state, and 26 different scientific categories, the Carlisle Area School District had a fantastic showing.  We had 11 first place finishes, 6 second place awards and one third place finish.  Karina Ciocca and Kaitlyn Dworak made in impression with perfect scores for the both of them, a very rare feat.  Dworak also won the PJAS Director’s award for her presentation.  When you see these students, please take note of their dedication and time as well as their achievements!
