CASD offers second vaccine clinic
A lot of adjustments have been happening at CHS in the last month with changes to mask regulations in February. As of February 28, masks became optional in CASD buildings and transportation. In correlation to mask restrictions being lifted, CASD is also offering vaccine clinics to increase the number of CASD students protected from COVID.
With these changes, the district will be holding its second vaccine clinic of the year on Monday Mar 21 from 4-7, by appointment at Hamilton Elementary School. They are providing both Pfizer and Moderna vaccines as well as the related boosters. They have the 5-11 year old version of the vaccine available as well as the 12 and older version.
The current vaccines and boosters are expected to protect against severe illness, hospitalizations, and death due to the infection of the current COVID variants, in both children and adults, as said by the CDC.
Parents and guardians were notified of the vaccine clinic in an email from assistant superintendent Colleen Friend on Mar 17.
The clinic is available to any adult or child that wants to receive their initial COVID vaccine or their according booster; children must be accompanied by an adult.
As well as COVID vaccines, the clinics will also have flu vaccines available that you can receive the same day as you get your COVID vaccine or on its own.
For more information on what vaccine to get for you or your child, visit the CDC for more information; to schedule a vaccine appointment, please go to this link and sign up for the Hamilton Elementary clinic.

So glad that the school decided to engage in this vaccine clinic. I like that it is open to those who want to get the vaccine and that our high school community can make the best decisions for themselves!
