Winter sports perform in post-season play
Several winter sports got the opportunity to compete in post season play this year.
ICE HOCKEY
The ice hockey team won the Central Pennsylvania Interscholastic Hockey League’s Tier 3 championship game. They got the Rothrock cup on February 22 at Hershey Park Arena. They beat Susquehanna Township 6-3.
INDOOR TRACK
State qualifiers, Matt Wisner and Isa Paschall, placed at states and it was held at Penn State. Paschall jumped a 47-06.25 in the triple- jump and he placed first. He also placed second in the long jump. Wisner placed forth in the 800m.

BASKETBALL
Boys’ basketball finished their season second in the Mid-Penn Commonwealth behind Harrisburg. Carlisle’s record was 10-4 and qualified for districts. They faced Northeastern in their first game but lost 56-49 and did not move on to the next round.

SWIMMING
CJ Burg, Daniel Madio, Noah Chirco, Grace Lippert, Madison Young, and Elizebeth Young went to compete at districts. Unfortunately, they did not move on to states.

WRESTLING
Senior Brady Meals wrestled in the District tournament and advanced to states. He made it to the second consolations round. Hunter Coutts is third for all time wins as a freshmen; he won 23 matches during the regular season.

It’s awesome to see how well Carlisle sports are going and that our classmates are able to accomplish so much. I’m excited to see how other teams do this year and in future seasons to come.

It’s really cool to see the success of Carlisle Sports. Every team is working hard and making steps in the right direction. The enthusiasm is great and I cannot wait to see what Spring sports have to offer.

Wow it’s great to see so many winter sports succeeding. It has been a great year for Carlisle sports as a whole, and I know we all hope to see it continuing for Spring too.
