Boys tennis swings into season
The boys tennis team started their season in March against Northern York. They are now 3-3 on the season and have several more matches to compete in.
According to head coach Seng Pham, the lost their 5 top players last year and only have two returning players this year. “We have new players coming to our program; we are instructing players who have never played before on how to hit the various different strokes, mental toughness, and instructional game strategy,” he said.
Sophomore Josh Denlinger, who is a part of a doubles team, believes that the team will be better and stronger in the next couple years.
As this season continues the coaches will “continue to instruct our players on how to hit and more their feet to put themselves in the proper stands,” said Pham. “The players learn to strategize and play smarter against their opponent and attack their weaknesses.
As Denlinger and other players continue to prepare for their matches in singles and doubles, Denlinger also hopes to maintain “building a strong relationship with teammates.”
The team will compete against Lower Dauphin on Monday.

The boy’s tennis team did a great job this year! They did have to work extra hard to put a team together with so many lost players and new players, but they played like champs. Special shout out to Bart Winn, tennis super star.
