Motivation is key: students share their tricks to being productive
Motivation is important to the student body, and everybody that needs something to get them going. Everybody is different. Positive reinforcement is a huge thing for students that are doing sports, trying to get good grades, or trying to reach a goal.
Senior Taylor Monroe said, “Money motivates me to do better and the fact that I have more responsibility makes me feel like an adult which gives me a positive way of looking at life. If somebody offers money, I’m always up for it if it’s reasonable. Money makes the world go around.”
For some people, it doesn’t have to be such a valuable object to get them motivated; it could be as simple as a song.
Junior Joshua Castro responded, “Listening to music motivates me easily. Whenever I’m at the gym, my music makes me go harder. It also helps me with my homework whenever I get distracted.”
Motivation can come from a thing that you enjoy doing, and have your behavior good all around so that you can keep that one thing.
Sophomore Brian Bowser said, “Video games motivate me to do good in school and outside of school. I do well so that my parents won’t take away my video games from me. “
Motivation is super important for a student or any person really. Some students haven’t found their motivation, or maybe they have. Everybody needs that one thing that keeps them going, because sometimes it’s hard to just do something the things we know we need to do.

Even though senioritis has kicked in, my mom taking my things motivates me. If my grades are not where they are supposed to be I get my phone taken and other social privileges. I want to be able to have fun this year and I don’t want my stuff taken so keeping that in the back of my mind motivates me.
