As we jump in to a new school year we also fall into a new season.  As fall blows in, so do new fashion trends.

Fashion has always been a big trend to keep up with at Carlisle High. Just walking down the hallway fashionable people are seen everywhere.

Swinging in as one of the top fashion trends this year is a repeat of last year – the long-sleeved crop top. Senior Kaitlin Radle had a slight hunch that “this fashion trend would return from last year’s top fashionable trends.”

Everybody knows that fall is football season but did you know that old football jerseys are in season too? Sportswear is one of the hottest trends this season with varsity jackets, joggers with designs on them, and basically sparkles anywhere from jerseys to sweatshirts.

This “new” fashion trend is popping out of the depths of the 1900’s – fringe. Fringe is showing up everywhere from handbags to jackets to boots.

Speaking of boots, shoes are another important factor to making an outfit complete. Boots are always in style but “Sperry’s stay popular as usual,” stated sophomore Connor Murphy.

Moving away from the many patterns of last years fall season, this year is coming in with a very different palate. Junior Sydney Anderson states she sees “army green and maroon colors” being popular this season – and she wasn’t wrong.

This season is going with more of a solid colored vibe and looking towards these darker hues.

In the end, it doesn’t matter which trend you follow or if you don’t follow one at all. Fashion is a way of self-expression and that is what it is all about – you being you.
