“Soaring to New Heights:” Herd 100 Welcomes Freshmen to High School
As the new school year approaches, students are scrambling to get school supplies and get back into the groove of the school year. Although students entering their sophomore, junior, and senior years know what to expect, incoming freshmen are being introduced to a whole new world.
The two day team building program known as Herd 100 is run by staff members from the school district. Lamberton, Wilson, and Carlisle High School teachers make up the staff of Herd 100 in hopes of providing familiar and new faces for the incoming freshmen.
On Wednesday, August 3rd, the freshmen stayed at the high school and learned more about navigating their way through the hallways. The importance of communication was expressed through mini games that took place in the afternoon.
On Thursday, August 4th, the freshmen boarded a bus early in the morning to spend the day at the Diakon Wilderness Center. The day included many difficult but enjoyable activities including a high ropes course, low ropes team building, and zip lining.
