“All Star”- Smash Mouth

Originally released in 1999, as part of their album Astro Lounge, “All Star” still continues to be a widely known song today.  The song was written by Smash Mouth’s guitarist, Greg Camp.  The popularity of the song only grew when it began to be used in films, such as the movie Shrek.  When it reached its all-time height of popularity, it ranked number four on the Billboard Hot One Hundred and number two on the  Billboard Modern Rock Tracks chart.  The song is upbeat and encourages listeners to embrace who they are.
